In French, it's called {de l'eau}. Italians call it {acqua}. And if you are ordering in Europe, you need specify {Gas} or {No Gas}. This would be the thirst-quenching drink, water. A drink that's served at every gathering but often left by the way side.
Entertaining for me is all in the details. Serving this ice cold beverage could be so much more satisfying if only you gave it a little tjuzs! Think presentation & flavor!
I'm not one for following the rules, so why not serve water out of decanters or recycled mineral water bottles?
In my household, Pellegrino is a staple. Always give your guests the option of still or sparkling.
Use the following list as your guide. Infuse & savor!

ReplyDeleteThe last cucumber harvest was a couple of weeks ago. We are in AZ and the cucumber season is March to June. I wasn't sure what to do with all of them, so I started adding them to my water....so refreshing! I ended up making pitchers and slicing whole cucumbers. The family loved it, even my 3 year old!! Thanks for the post and new ideas!!-Jules
ReplyDeleteA spa I used to go to in texas always had pitchers of "cucumber water" for the waiting area...so yummy! Great ideas for other combos...can't wait to try a lemon and basil one!
ReplyDeleteJulie - Happy to hear you enjoyed the post! Living in AZ, water tends to a get a wee bit mundane in the summer months. A way to add a little bit of variety!
ReplyDeleteCrafty mom- Let us know what you think of the lemon/basil!
