I have never been to San Francisco, but I know when I do get there, one of the first stops I am making is to
Miette. I have heard pleasant reviews of this charming bakery, and the decor and visual appeal of the baked goods is more than enough to get me in the door. When I found out that they were releasing a cookbook, I had to order it. If I can't go to the bakery, having their recipes is as close as I can get, right?
The book contains recipes for cakes, tarts, cookies, candies, and other essentials, and I find it unique enough to complement a good cookbook collection. Some of the recipes I can't wait to try are the: Strawberry Charlotte, Gingerbread Cake, Chocolate Truffle Tart, Creme Fraiche Scones, and first on my list is most definitely the Parisian Macarons (they use almonds with the skin on and they are one of their trademark products).

The book is adorable, is petite (just like their cakes!), and the pages have scalloped edges which adds to the appeal of the book in my opinion. I can't wait to continue to try recipes from this book! One thing to keep in mind, though--the publishers were so anxious to get this book to press, that they missed a couple of things. You can check out the errata sheet
here.
I have been dying to get this book too!
